Becky Baron, United Way's Born Learning Coordinator, is excited to announce a brand new resource available to all new parents giving birth at the local hospital. The new Early Childhood Resource Directory is a product of the collaboration of United Way and the Great Start Collaborative to meet the needs of new parents.
The directories will be distributed to all new parents in hospital bags at Mercy Hospital throughout the year. When new parents get home and need to find answers or information, this directory will be critical.
Parent support is an important strategy in the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
