AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING to any elementary student needing help in math and reading to bring them up to their grade level. The program runs for six weeks and also provides instruction in nutrition, offers a healthy snack, and at least 20 minutes of directed physical activity. Last year over 240 students achieved success through this program.
FRESHMAN EXPERIENCE PROGRAM - to develop unity within the freshman class and promote healthy relationships in order to create long-term success by docusing on established goals.
CADILLAC YMCA TEEN IMPACT program provides teens, 14 to 17 years old, with the balance of structured and unstructured learning environments that motivate, build hope and develop skills needed to bring excellence and direction to their education, work, home and personal lives. This is accomplished through a learning and recreation experience, and mentoring with special emphasis on leadership, life skills, and interpersonal relationships.
CATHOLIC HUMAN SERVICES provides professional family counseling, alcohol and substance abuse programs, maternal support for young mothers, Senior Companion program, and Foster Grandparents. The Senior Companion program matches senior volunteers with a senior in need of help with fellowship and everyday tasks. The Foster Grandparents recruit and train senior volunteers to work with children in a variety of community settings. Many Foster Grandparents work within the schools providing help with reading and other support to children.
COOPERATIVE MINISTRY provides short-term, emergency utility shut-off assistance. They also offer food, diapers, infant food, gasoline vouchers, heating, rent and temporary shelter assistance.
FRIENDS MINISTRY provides personal finance training, life planning, job readiness classes, and addiction recovery groups. They offer clothing, housewares, furniture, gasoline, car and home repairs in exchange for bartered labor and/or life skills training. They also provide limited emergency energy relief.
HEALING PRIVATE WOUNDS advocates for the health and welfare of all victims of sexual abuse through the Safe Body Boundaries prevention education program for all school-aged children.
IMAGINATION LIBRARY The Wexford-Missaukee Imagination Library serves the area covered by the Wexford-Missaukee Intermediate School District. The program provides a book, free of charge, in the mail each month to all children in the ISD service area, ages birth to five years, whose parent chooses to sign up.

MANTON SCHOOLS, LATCHKEY PROGRAM provides educational and recreational activities before and after school. The program provides a safe environment for school-age children of working parents at an affordable rate.
MANTON SENIOR CENTER provides a network between the community and senior citizens that allows older individuals to maintain independence and dignity. The Center provides area seniors with a variety of programs that include health services, educational programs, recreational opportunities, volunteer service opportunities, meals, nutritional programs, and information and referral service.MICHIGAN 2-1-1 is an information referral system that connects people via telephone or internet with solutions ranging from basic human needs and community emergencies, to volunteer opportunities and community information. NEW HOPE SHELTER provide shelter for men, women an children.
OASIS/ FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER serves victims and families of domestic violence by providing shelter, food, clothing and counseling. In addition, their Family Resource Center provides parenting and family management classes and support groups to families looking to improve their parenting skills. The main goal of the center is to preserve the integrity of the family unit and prevent domestic violence, and child abuse and neglect. They also work to promote community awareness about domestic violence and resources available to meet family needs.
SALVATION ARMY works across Wexford and Missaukee counties to provide basic human needs and help with food, shelter, and utilities.
SHEPHERD’S TABLE provides free, hot, nutritious meals and fellowship two evenings a week to those in need. They also provide meals to the homebound. Shepherd’s Table operates from the First Baptist Church in Cadillac on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon beginning at 4 p.m.
STAIRCASE RUNAWAY & YOUTH SERVICES provides free, confidential information, counseling and emergency foster care to teens, their parents and families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
STEHOUWER FREE CLINIC provides free urgent care services to uninsured and underinsured residents in surrounding areas. The Clinic aids patients in obtaining free or reduced-cost medication through their Medication Access Program. They also provide monthly treatment for diabetes patients and serves as a referral sources for various other health-related programs. In addition, the Clinic works with local medical specialists and dentists who treat a limited number of referrals at no charge.
